Woman Shot Answering Door
The Riverview woman is in critical condition following the Saturday morning shooting.

A 37-year-old mother of four opened her Riverview front door to gunshots early Saturday morning.
Now, Hillsborough County deputies say she’s in stable condition at Tampa General Hospital while a search in on for her attacker or attackers.
The incident unfolded at 12924 Fennway Ridge Drive just before 12:30 a.m., the sheriff’s office wrote in an email to media. The woman, the email said, was home with her husband and twin 9-year-old son and daughter at the time.

Knocks on the home’s front door prompted the woman to open it, “at which time there were multiple shots fired, striking the victim multiple times,” the email said.
After shooting the woman, identified as Angela Morales, the attacker took offer in what is believed to be a four-door dark sedan.

“There could possibly have been more than one shooter as detectives have recovered two different type weapon casings,” the email noted.
Morales also has two other sons, ages 17 and 21, who were not home at the time, deputies say.
Investigators do not believe the incident was random.
The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information in the case to call 813-247-8200. Those interested in being eligible for a $3,000 reward in the case are asked to call Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay at
