Boca Raton Felon Ran $50 Million Real Estate Fraud Scheme From Prison, Feds Say (tapinto.net) β Federal prosecutors say a Boca Raton resident helped her imprisoned husband run a years-long, multimillion-dollar real estate investment fraud that diverted investor money into stock trading, commissions, and a luxury home. The couple allegedly used more than $2 million for personal expenses, including a nearly $2 million primary residence, and now both face lengthy prison sentences and a restitution hearing in early September.

Jewish High Holy Days Are Approaching; B'nai Torah Congregation Invites Community to Experience Selichot (bocaratontribune.com) β Boca Raton's B'nai Torah Congregation is inviting the community to a free Selichot service on Saturday, September 5, with refreshments at 8:15 p.m. and prayers beginning at 9 p.m. Led by clergy, choir, and musicians, the evening launches spiritual preparation for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur at the synagogue's SW 18th Street campus.

Boca History Museum Ends Summer with Music, Family Fun & New Exhibit (bocaratontribune.com) β Boca Raton residents can wrap up summer at the Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum with free family pioneer activities on September 5, a new "Life's a Beach" coastal history exhibit opening September 9, and a Seventies-themed Summer Sips & Sounds concert September 17. Additional talks and programs throughout September spotlight Boca's past through hands-on fun, music, and storytelling.
