Alexander's at 1400 Glades in Boca Raton was cited for 11 health code violations across two inspections on August 31 and September 1, though it was not ordered to close. Violations included improper handwashing, unsafe food temperatures, and cooling issues, with some problems corrected on-site and others prompting an administrative complaint.
2. Boca Raton Costco Faces Court Petition Seeking Scooter Crash Video, Member Identity (bocapost.com) — A shopper injured in a July 3 incident at the Costco on Congress Avenue in Boca Raton is asking a Palm Beach County judge to force the company to release surveillance video and the identity of the motorized cart driver. The pure bill of discovery doesn't sue Costco yet, but seeks member information and records so she can pursue a possible negligence claim against the other customer.
3. Boca Raton Scooter Crash Lawsuit Points To Construction Near One Park Place Garage (bocapost.com) — A newly filed negligence lawsuit claims debris from a construction site near One Park Place in north Boca Raton caused a scooter rider to crash on NW 53rd Street, allegedly leaving him with lasting injuries and medical bills. Filed September 2 in Palm Beach County Circuit Court, the case seeks more than $50,000 and a jury trial, with ANF Group yet to respond.
4. Boca Raton Shliach's Album Inspired by the Rebbe's Tekiyos (anash.org) — A Boca Raton rabbi, Ruvi New, has released a new Rosh Hashanah album designed to help families locally and worldwide prepare for the High Holidays through familiar songs and prayers. Drawing on memories of the Rebbe's tekiyos and his Melbourne upbringing, the fully transliterated and translated tracks aim to make services more accessible and uplifting, and are available on major streaming platforms and YouTube.
