Boca Raton Area Students Named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists (tapinto.net) — Boca Raton families can celebrate dozens of local high school seniors who have been named National Merit Scholarship semifinalists, placing them among the top PSAT scorers nationwide. Students from FAU High, Spanish River, St. Andrew's, and several other area schools now move one step closer to competing for thousands of college scholarships to be awarded next spring.
3. HURRICANE CENTER: Tropical Depression May Form East Of Florida Later This Week (bocanewsnow.com) — Boca Raton residents are being advised to watch a developing weather system far east of Florida that could become a tropical depression later this week, according to the National Hurricane Center. While formation chances are low in the next 48 hours, they rise to 40 percent over seven days as the system moves slowly westward across the subtropical Atlantic.

FAU, Bar-Ilan Ink Deal Crediting Israel Gap-Year Studies (bocanewsnow.com) — Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton has created a new pathway allowing students in Israel's XP gap-year program to transfer approved credits toward an FAU degree. Announced alongside South Florida Jewish school leaders, the deal deepens FAU's ties with Bar-Ilan University and complements the school's broader efforts to support Jewish students on campus.
