3. Treasury, SBA Leaders Head to FAU Boca Raton for Foreign Investment Roundtable (bocapost.com) — Top U.S. Treasury and Small Business Administration officials are coming to Florida Atlantic University's Boca Raton campus on Oct. 13 for a roundtable on foreign investment and critical technology. Boca Raton's Red Meat Lovers Club Raises $55,000 for Youth Soccer at Play for Blake Gala (TAPinto.net) — A Boca Raton-based dining club just raised $55,000 at the Play for Blake Gala to expand youth soccer access for local kids and others in need. Florida Man Allegedly Skip-Scans Target Items 15 Times Before Cops Catch On (newsbreak.com) — A 21-year-old Boca Raton resident is accused of repeatedly skip-scanning items at self-checkout in Target stores, leading to 15 alleged theft incidents totaling about $685. Police say Apple Pay records tied him to incidents in Delray Beach and Palm Beach Gardens, and he now faces a felony retail theft charge after posting bond from Palm Beach County Jail.
