Erickson Senior Living, a trusted leader in the senior living industry with a national network of award-winning communities, is thrilled to announce that a brand-new community is coming to Palm Beach County, Fla.!
Ava Lakes, a 93-acre continuing care retirement community with maintenance-free homes, resort-
style amenities, and dozens of clubs, will be conveniently located in Boynton Beach, Fla.
"Ava Lakes represents an important milestone for Erickson Senior Living as we expand in high-demand markets," says Alan Butler, CEO of Erickson Senior Living. "Interest from South Florida retirees seeking an active, maintenance-free lifestyle and the security of a continuing care community has been exceptionally strong."
He adds, "We're excited to bring the Erickson Senior Living experience to Boynton Beach and welcome future residents to a community designed to help them thrive."
Thoughtfully designed
Set to welcome its first residents in 2029, Ava Lakes will debut with two independent living residence buildings and a central clubhouse. The community's third residence building, also part of the first phase of construction, will open several months later.
The community's one- and two-bedroom homes, ranging from 800 to 2,000 square feet, will include modern kitchens with stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops, in-unit washers and dryers, screened lanais, and convenient under-building parking.
Cypress Bay Clubhouse will serve as the hub of daily life, offering an array of amenities. Residents will savor the three distinct dining venues--a casual eatery, a full-service restaurant, and a bar and bistro with outdoor seating. The clubhouse will also boast a fitness center, medical center, hair salon, movie theater, art studio, media center, and dedicated spaces for cards and games.
Outdoors, residents can enjoy the fresh air at the on-campus pickleball and bocce courts, swimming pool (with additional shaded seating), and beautifully landscaped green spaces. Nature lovers will also appreciate Ava Lakes' private access to a neighboring nature preserve, where scenic trails wind through diverse habitats.
Need to beat the heat? No worries! Buildings across campus will be connected by climate-controlled walkways, making it easy for residents to meet friends for dinner, attend an event, or head to a fitness class--no matter the weather.
Worry-free living
In addition to opportunities to interact with friends and neighbors, Erickson Senior Living communities are known for worry-free living, and Ava Lakes will be no exception.
The community's expert General Services team will handle all home maintenance and repairs, meaning residents can spend more time on activities and hobbies and less time on household chores.
Florida is no stranger to severe weather, so the community's development team has also put a lot of thought into how the buildings will be constructed.
"Living in Florida means being prepared for hurricane season, and that's something our prospective residents are thinking about more than ever," says Jason Guidi, sales director for Ava Lakes. "Unlike most homes in the area, which can lose power for days after a major storm, our buildings will keep essential systems running, giving residents peace of mind."
In the event of a power outage, the community will be supported by backup power systems designed to maintain essential services and help residents remain comfortable. This includes features such as elevators, fire alarms, and hallway lighting. Within each residence, backup power will support essential needs, including air conditioning, hot water, and refrigeration.
"Even during severe weather, residents can maintain their routines and continue attending club meetings, exercise classes, and lunches with friends," says Guidi.
Ways to learn more
Guidi encourages prospective residents to begin thinking about and planning for their retirement lifestyle well before they're ready to move, especially since demand for vibrant senior living in South Florida continues to grow.
"The most important thing people can do is plan ahead," he says. "Research your options, ask questions, and give yourself time to make an informed decision. When you're ready to move, you'll have the confidence of knowing you've already done the work."
The best way to learn more about Ava Lakes is to schedule an appointment with the sales team.
"There's never any pressure!" says Guidi. "The sales team is here to answer questions and help you learn more about what Ava Lakes will offer. You can also explore renderings and request information online before meeting with our team."
