UPDATE: June 30, 2020 (9:40am) - Beaches Closed for 4th of July Weekend

Palm Beach County issued an Emergency Order closing all public, municipal and private beaches, including all beach parks in Palm Beach County. All beaches and beach parks, including those in the City of Boca Raton, will be closed starting at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2020 until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, 2020. There will be no parking along A1A or pedestrian beach access once the beaches close.

Library Fines Set to Resume

Library fines are set to resume on Monday, July 6, 2020, even if the libraries are not open to the public. Notices have started to go out on Friday, June 19. Library staff will adjust issues on a case-by-case basis as needed.

New Hours for Tim Huxhold Skate Park and Shuffleboard Courts

• New Tim Huxhold Skate Park and Shuffleboard Courts hours are:
  • Beginning 6/23 until 8/6
    • Monday / Wednesday / Friday: 5pm - 9pm
    • Tuesday / Thursday / Saturday: 1pm - 9pm
    • Sunday: 1pm - 6pm
  • First come, first serve
  • To ensure social distancing, play is only allowed on a maximum of six (6) courts, on courts #1, 3, 5, 7, 9 & 11.
  • Prior to opening, equipment is to be placed at the courts and rotated out / disinfected after each use

Other Recreation Updates

Beginning Monday, June 29, 2020, The Racquet Center will move to the following hours of operation:

• Monday - Thursday: 7:30am - 10pm
• Friday: 7:30am - 8pm
• Saturday & Sunday: 7:30am - 1pm

Beginning June 23, Tennis Centers will offer lessons for up to four players and Pro (4:1). Tennis Centers will also begin renting ball machines.

*Other parks not listed on the table below remain closed. * Group exercising and fitness classes in parks are prohibited. Athletic fields are open for open play usage & approved/permitted organized team sports with a maximum of 50 people per field (including sidelines).
