Boca Raton City Council members voted unanimously to accept an extraordinary donation from MSD Partners and Northview Hotel Group, owners of the Boca Country Club and the Boca Resort and Club. The 167-acre complex includes an 18-hole championship golf course that was renovated in 2018, tennis and aquatics facilities, and a club house with event space. The facility will remain open to private members only until September 30, 2021. During the next 11 months, the City will work with the community to develop plans for the complex, create a budget for the management and operations, and develop the user fee schedules. The intention is to offer continuous golf for residents coordinated with the closing of the City's municipal course, which is currently under contract for sale.
