In addition to direct cultivations and solicitations, Chodrow will also integrate volunteer leadership in the Hadassah Major Gifts Program. She will be working with area volunteer leaders and other professional members of the Hadassah National Major Gifts team to identify, cultivate, and solicit prospective major donors for Hadassah’s initiatives, medical research, and the recently-announced $92M 360 Degrees of Healing / Full Circle Capital Campaign for Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem in Jerusalem.

Rednik states: “Deborah Chodrow brings a wealth of fundraising and development expertise to Hadassah as we celebrate the 100th anniversary milestones of the Hadassah Medical Organization (HMO), the Henrietta Szold Hadassah-Hebrew University School of Nursing and HMO’s Department of Ophthalmology. Deborah’s experience in Florida will be a critical asset as we build, identify and target fundraising prospects in this region.”

Chodrow enthuses, “I am privileged to work with Hadassah’s tremendous cadre of dedicated volunteers to raise vital funds for the remarkable work that HWZOA has been doing for over 100 years in Israel through its world-class HMO. Hadassah's mission supporting the people of Israel inspires me, as does having an impact on strengthening the enduring connection between the American Jewish community and the people of Israel.”

Chodrow was most recently Executive Director for the Strategic Development for the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee in Boca Raton, FL (2015-2017) where her focus was developing major gifts in Broward and Palm Beach Counties. Previously, Chodrow was Chief Operating Officer and Sr. Vice President for the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation (DRIF) in Hollywood, FL (2005-08) where she developed and implemented a five-year campaign for the Diabetes Research Institute of the University of Miami, which exceeded its original $100M goal and raised $137M.

Earlier, Chodrow was Associate Vice President, Southeast Region and Vice President of Major Gifts for the American Friends of The Hebrew University where she was responsible for all aspects of U.S. participation in The Hebrew University’s International Capital Campaign -- the first international campaign ever for an institution in Israel -- which exceeded its $600M goal two years ahead of time. Earlier, she was National Coordinator for Regional Operations for the United Jewish Appeal in New York City.

Chodrow has a Bachelor of Arts in Russian Language and Literature from Boston University. She is based in Boca Raton, FL.
