Rachel Barzilay recognized on Forbes

Rachel Barzilay, was recently recognized on Forbes' "America's Top Next-Generation Wealth Advisors" list for the second consecutive year.

Rachel Barzilay, CAP®, CFP®, CRPC®, a Managing Director, Wealth Management Advisor and Senior Portfolio Manager with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in Boca Raton, was recently recognized on Forbes’ “America’s Top Next-Generation Wealth Advisors” list for the second consecutive year. Barzilay is a partner in the Barzilay Group, where she works alongside her father Arthur Barzilay, who has been with Merrill Lynch for more than 35 years. She joined Merrill Lynch in 2008 and focuses on advising clients about municipal bonds, retirement and estate planning services, education savings accounts, philanthropic trusts and foundations as well as corporate lending through access to Bank of America, N.A.

An industry leader, Barzilay was also recently recognized on Forbes’ "Best-In-State Wealth Advisors" and “Top Women Wealth Advisors” list, and the Barron’s “Top 1,200 Financial Advisors” list in 2018. In addition, she received several recognitions for her work in 2017, including on the Forbes “America’s Top Next Generation Wealth Advisors” list and on Working Mother/SHOOK Research’s “Top Wealth Adviser Moms” list, among others. Barzilay earned a bachelor's degree in business administration with a major in finance from the University of Florida, where she was a dean’s list graduate. In her free time, Barzilay enjoys entertaining family and friends. She and her husband reside in Boca Raton with their children.

Forbes’ "America’s Top Next-Generation Wealth Advisors” list was developed by SHOOK Research. Advisors considered for this ranking were born in 1980 or later with a minimum 4 years relevant experience; advisors have: built their own practices and lead their teams; joined teams and are viewed as future leadership; or a combination of both. Ranking algorithm is based on qualitative measures: telephone and in-person interviews, client retention, industry experience, credentials, review of compliance records, firm nominations; and quantitative criteria, such as: assets under management and revenue generated for their firms.
