1 Man, 2 Teens Arrested After Search Of Neighborhood 'Drug House' In Bradenton

Numerous complaints were lodged over suspected drug activity at the home on 8th Street West.

BRADENTON, FL - One man and two teens were arrested Thursday after the Bradenton Police Department executed a narcotic search warrant at an 8th Street West residence that was a source of numerous neighborhood complaints of suspected drug activity, police said.

The department's Narcotics Unit, Gang Unit and SWAT Team recovered from the house and a car at the scene 36.2 grams of cocaine, 115.8 grams of marijuana, .7 grams of heroin and drug paraphernalia, the Bradenton PD said. Arrested were a Bradenton man, 36, and two 17-year-olds.

The house on the 1000 block of 8th Street West has generated multiple citizen tips and complaints concerning narcotics activity, police said.

As the SWAT Team approached the residence Thursday, two juveniles were seen inside a vehicle parked on the property. One fled on foot and the other complied with the SWAT Team, police said. The runaway was apprehended less than a block away.

The pair, both 17 from Bradenton, were arrested: one for suspicion of possession of cocaine with intent to sell (a 2nd-degree felony); possession of marijuana over 20 grams, (a 3rd-degree felony) and a misdemeanor count of resisting arrest without violence, police said.

The other minor was arrested for suspected possession of cocaine with intent to sell (a felony, 2nd degree) and possession of marijuana over 20 grams (a felony 3rd degree), police said.

Inside the house, Roderick Duval was located and arrested for suspicion of possession of cocaine (a 3rd-degree felony) and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, police said.

Officers added that the majority of confiscated narcotics were packaged for sale. The two juveniles were transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center. Duval was booked at the MSO jail.
