$1M Powerball Prize Claimed By Manatee County Man: FL Lottery
A Manatee County man claimed a $1 million Powerball prize in the March 5 drawing, Florida Lottery said.

PARRISH, FL — A 61-year-old Manatee County man won a $1 million prize in the March 5 Powerball drawing at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee, Florida Lottery said in a news release.
The winning ticket, claimed by Kenneth Foy of Parrish, matched all five of the white ball numbers but did not match the Powerball number.
Foy told Florida Lottery that he occasionally plays Powerball, but just for the fun of it.

"Sometimes I'll pick up a ticket or two if I have a couple of extra bucks in my pocket, but I never thought I'd win anything this big," he said. "Needless to say, I was in complete shock when I checked our tickets on the Lottery app and saw that we won $1 million!"
Foy purchased his $1 million-winning Powerball Quick Pick ticket from the Publix grocery store at 11245 North U.S. Highway 301 in Parrish. The retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.
