2 Bradenton Residents Dead Following 3-Vehicle Crash

The accident happened Wednesday night along County Road 675.

Two Bradenton residents are dead and several people are injured following a three-vehicle accident on County Road 675 at Spencer Parrish Road Wednesday night.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Chevrolet driven by Brody McClelland Catt, 32, of Parrish was heading westbound on County Road 675 around 8:30 p.m. when the crash happened. Catt was approaching the intersection of Spencer Parrish Road as two vehicles heading eastbound on County Road 675 were doing the same.

Catt, troopers said in an email to media, attempted to make a left hand turn in front of a Chevrolet Impala driven by Sean Thomas Barrett, 19, of Bradenton. He failed to yield the right of way, troopers said, and struck the front of Barrett’s car. Both cars began to rotate and the third vehicle, an Infinity G35, driven by Darren Everett Foster, 22, of Parrish attempted to steer left to avoid a collision. Foster’s car, however, struck the right side of Catt’s vehicle.
