3 Clinging To Capsized Boat In Gulf Rescued: U.S. Coast Guard

Three people clinging to a boat that overturned off Longboat Key on Friday were rescued, U.S. Coast Guard Station Cortez said.

LONGBOAT KEY, FL — Three “distressed mariners” were found clinging to the hull of a boat that capsized Friday in the Gulf of Mexico were rescued, U.S. Coast Guard Station Cortez wrote in a Facebook post.

Their vessel overturned 25 nautical miles southwest of Longboat Key.

All passengers were safely brought to sure, the station said. No injuries were reported.
