5-Year-Girl Who Fell In Pool In Critical Condition: Bradenton Police
The girl wandered out of the home Sunday afternoon and fell in the pool, Bradenton police said.
BRADENTON, FL — A drowning is under investigation after a 5-year-old girl fell into a pool at a home in the 2500 block of 11th Avenue E. Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
The girl, who was found unresponsive in the pool by a family member around 4:40 p.m., is in critical condition, according to a Bradenton Police Department news release.
The drowning appears accidental and it’s thought that the child wandered out of the home and fell in.

The home security system alerted the homeowner that a door had opened, prompting the family member to look for the girl, police said.
The family member and a neighbor performed CPR until EMS arrived. Manatee County EMS revived the child, who was taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital and then airlifted to All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, BPD said.
