50 Dead Cats Found in Florida Man's Freezer
Police went to the Palm Beach County home to arrest the man on child pornography charges.

Palm Beach County Sheriff’s deputies got more than they bargained for Wednesday when they arrived to serve a warrant at a Lake Worth home.
Inside Douglas Westcott’s home they discovered 30 live cats and overflowing litter boxes. It’s what they found in freezers, however, that set them aback. Fifty dead cats were on ice in the 55-year-old man’s home, NBC reported.
Deputies went to the 5933 Ithaca Circle W. home to serve a warrant related to child pornography charges.

Westcott faced his first court appearance on the three child pornography charges Thursday, WPTV reported. Palm Beach deputies say renters in Westcott’s home tipped them off about the child pornography back in July.
It remains unclear why Westcott kept dead cats in his freezer. The living cats have been taken by Palm Beach County Animal Services. A judge will have to determine whether they cats will be returned to Westcott or not.
