$8,000 Reward Offered In 2014 Bradenton Cold Case Murder: Sheriff
Investigators are looking for the person who shot, killed an SUR 13 gang member on Dec. 20, 2014, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office said.

BRADENTON, FL — An up to $8,000 reward is being offered for information in a 2014 cold case murder in Bradenton, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
Investigators are looking for the unknown person who shot and killed 25-year-old Samuel Campos Conde, known as “Spanky,” an SUR 13 gang member.
Conde was shot in the early hours of Dec. 20, 2014, while drinking at 3704 9th Street East in Bradenton, a place where people went to illegally buy beer after area bars had closed, the sheriff’s office said.

He was involved in an altercation between rival gang members and investigators believe that he was shot by one of them. Because of the nature of the murder, witnesses remained “tight lipped” about what happened, MCSO said.
There were few leads after the homicide and investigators haven't been able to move forward due to lack of help from the community.

Since Conde’s murder, his older brother, Gabriel, was also killed in a gang-related shooting, the sheriff’s office said. That 2018 case, which is unrelated to the 2014 shooting, was later solved and an arrest was made.

An additional $5,000 is being offered by the Gold Star Club of Manatee County for information leading to an arrest.
