Alex Sims is 9 years old and needs a bone marrow transplant to survive IPEX, an extremely rare disease. Did you know a bone marrow transplant can cost up to $800,000. Alex's family has teamed up with Children's Organ Transplant Association (COTA) to raise funds to help with transplant & medical expenses for children like Alex. Read Alex's story at www.COTAforTeamAlexS.com to see how you can help. If you would consider being a donor contact www.bethematch.org and ask for a free testing kit which comes in the mail and is done by a simple cheek swab. All of donor's costs & expenses are paid and you could be the one to save someone's life! We are also seeking volunteers to help with fundraisers in the Bradenton/Sarasota area, donations, and businesses to allow us to hold a fundraiser. If you can help, please contact me at cas575@aol.com. Watch this site for upcoming fundraising events. The next fundraiser to raise funds will be June 24, Spaghetti dinner at the American Legion Post 24, 2000 75th Street, Bradenton 5 to 7 dinner and 7 to 9:30 music, dancing, 50/50, auctions, etc. For info or tickets: cas575@aol.com
