These students got to improve their knowledge of chemistry through all the research that they saw as well.
LRHS chemistry teacher and sponsor of the chemistry club, Tana Phelps, said, “Beyond the awards, our students truly represented LRHS with their professionalism, respectful interactions with competitors, and thoughtful engagement with the cutting-edge chemistry research they got to learn about.”
Phelps selected the teams, organized all the finances, paperwork, and transportation that allowed the students to be able to compete in the Chemathon.
