Stolen Radioactive Device Listed For Sale On Facebook Leads To Bradenton Man’s Arrest (patch.com) — Bradenton residents are learning more about a recent arrest after state troopers say a local man tried to sell a stolen radioactive moisture density gauge on Facebook Marketplace. Investigators traced the device to his Bradenton home, where specialized units detected industrial-level radiation and safely recovered the intact gauge, which officials warn can pose serious health risks if damaged or mishandled.    

2. Bradenton funeral home reports customer targeted in scam days ago (mysuncoast.com) — Bradenton police are warning families about scammers who pose as local funeral homes and pressure grieving relatives for urgent phone payments. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes recently had a customer targeted, prompting renewed reminders that legitimate Bradenton funeral homes won’t demand surprise fees by phone. Residents are urged to hang up, verify directly with the funeral home, and report suspicious calls.    

3. Bradenton businessman flies 22 flags for America 250 (baynews9.com) — A Bradenton business owner has paid to fly 22 large American flags over the Green Bridge between Bradenton and Palmetto through at least July 4, honoring both his late veteran father and local service members. He also hopes the display raises awareness of veteran suicide and brings Manatee County neighbors together, while a national nonprofit explains new efforts to prevent such tragedies.    

4.
