BRADENTON, FL — Manatee County public safety agencies are helping to evacuate and relocate about 157 residents from an assisted living facility in Bradenton on Saturday evening after a significant structural collapse at the building.
Transportation and alternate accommodations are being arranged for the residents of Aviata at Bradenton Villas, 105 15th Street E., the county said in a news release.
At the time of the release, around Saturday at 8 p.m., no injuries had been reported.

Manatee County Public Safety, Emergency Medical Services and Emergency Management are coordinating with the Bradenton Fire Department, the City of Bradenton and regional partners during the evacuation.
Because of the number of people who need to be moved, Hillsborough and Pinellas counties are also helping provide additional transportation resources, including ambulances and accessible transit vehicles.
"This is exactly the kind of situation where strong partnerships and preparation make a difference," Manatee County Commissioner Amanda Ballard said. "Our priority is making sure every resident is safely relocated and cared for during what is undoubtedly a difficult and disruptive situation. I'm grateful to our Public Safety team, Bradenton Fire Department and our regional partners for stepping up quickly to help these residents and their families."
Bradenton Mayor Gene Brown added, "This is a challenging situation, and our hearts are with the residents and their families. We are working closely with Manatee County and all regional partners to ensure everyone is safe, supported, and cared for throughout this evacuation."
