(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) new student orientation will be held in two sessions at 10a.m. and 6 p.m. on Aug. 6 in the LRHS auditorium.
This orientation will give new students and their families information regarding the clubs, academics, and athletics offered at LRHS as well as what to expect on the first day of school, scheduled for Aug. 11. It will also open the campus for students and families to explore before the first day.
The auditorium doors will open 30 minutes before each session, so families get a chance to get seated before the presentations begin. Both presentations will cover the same material.
New LRHS Principal Mike Mullen commented on the benefits and importance for new students and families to attend the orientation.

Mullen said, "It helps reduce the nerves associated with the first day of school. We will discuss student dropoff, breakfast, where to go upon arrival, and how/when schedules will be given to students.
"Clubs, athletics and organizations will be set up across campus so students can find ways to get involved and make the most out of their experience while here," Mullen continued.
New Student Orientation will also serve as another chance for new and returning Mustangs to meet Mullen.
Mullen said, "I'm excited to meet all our new families and welcome them to our school. I want them to know that we are here to support, guide and serve this community and provide them with a safe and challenging educational experience."
