BRADENTON, FL — A 15-year-old boy was seriously injured after being stabbed multiple times Tuesday afternoon at a Bradenton home, and the man accused of attacking him remains at large, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded just before 3 p.m. to a home in the 600 block of 33rd Avenue Drive East, where they found the teen suffering from multiple stab wounds to his neck and upper body, the sheriff's office said.
He was taken to a regional hospital, where his injuries were considered serious but not expected to be life-threatening.
Detectives said 34-year-old Quazone Elijawun Taylor was visiting the residence and was sitting outside with the teen when he attacked him for an unknown reason.
Taylor then fled the area, according to investigators.
Deputies, including members of the MCSO SWAT and Drone teams, searched the home and the surrounding area for Taylor. Investigators believed he might have been hiding in the attic, but he wasn't found on the property.
Taylor remained at large Wednesday morning.
He is described as a Black man who stands 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds, the sheriff's office said.
