First-ever Harley Davidson Mobile Repair Service Zooms into Town

There’s a big, bright orange trailer zooming about town that has Harley Davidson owners all revved up, for inside the trailer is a full-service repair and maintenance station and at the helm is expert Harley Davidson technician Daniel “Dan” Berden of Sarasota. A lifelong mechanic and Harley enthusiast (he personally owns more than one), Daniel is the former Service Manager and Supervisor of Rossiter’s Harley Davidson. They parted ways last month solely for the launch of Dan’s Mobile V-Twin Service.

Dan’s Mobile V-Twin Service offers Harley Davidson owners throughout the Sarasota-Bradenton area the convenience of having their bike repaired and serviced on-location rather than having to take it to a local shop. The trailer is stocked with factory-certified equipment and services offered run the gamut; from a tire change to an engine replacement to a bike detail, Dan’s can do every service that a large, brick-and-mortar shop does. While appointments are encouraged, especially for ongoing maintenance, Dan’s accommodates emergency calls, “drive-in’s,” and same-day requests so long as the schedule permits.

“My very first client was a guy whose bike wouldn’t fire up after he stopped for a break during a routine ride,” said Daniel. “It could have been as simple as a dead battery, which we can fix on-the-spot, but it turned out his engine was completely shot. We were able to take care of that for him through the proper Harley Davidson channels so not only is his bike good as new, but he received our personal attention throughout the process. You can’t get that through a large shop.”

Dan’s Mobile V-Twin Service is a long-awaited dream come true not just for local Harley Davison owners, but also for Daniel. His grandfather owned a motorcycle repair shop at which he spent the large majority of his childhood, and his own father made a living as a heavy equipment mechanic. After Daniel graduated with Top Technician honors from the Motorcycle Mechanic’s Institute in Orlando, FL in 2002, he began his career at Rossiter’s. His decade of commitment to the retailer helped grow its service department to be a top contender of all Harley Davidson repair shops nationwide.

Daniel’s solid reputation and loyal following among the area’s many Harley Davidson owners, which he humbly attributes to his career with Rossiter’s, has kept him busy since his launch. Bob Gow, a local Harley Davidson bike owner who regularly rides with his wife, Audrey, is one of Dan’s many satisfied customers. “Daniel’s attention to detail is unsurpassed and his diagnostic skills are terrific,” said Gow. “My wife’s 2001 Heritage Soft Tail Classic recently needed service; not only did Daniel come to my house to get it done, he also diagnosed the bike’s backfiring as a loose exhaust. Since then, her bike has performed flawlessly.”

Bill Emilius of Sarasota, another Harley lover and owner, echoes Gow’s sentiments. “Daniel is a highly qualified and skilled Harley Davidson mechanic, and consistently ensures that his customer’s expectations are exceeded through highly competent service,” said Emilius. “Harley owners looking for top-notch, quality service shouldn’t hesitate to call Daniel; he has a natural know-how and the experience to get it done right.”

They can be reached Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm by calling 941-806-8712. Roadside Emergency Assistance is available (restrictions apply). Labor rate is $65.00 per hour.
