Body Of Bradenton Woman Found On Fire In Woods

MANATEE COUNTY, FL – The body of a 50-year-old woman was found on fire in a wooded area off 18th Street East at 1:15 a.m. Monday, April 2.

According to Manatee County Sheriff’s deputies, the victim, Veronica Polite of Bradenton, was already dead when her body was set on fire.

An autopsy will be performed to determine cause of death. The sheriff’s office is treating the case as a homicide.
