Braden River Little League Majors defeats Lakewood Ranch 5 to 4

In the 1st inning Lakewood Ranch scored one run while
Lakewood Ranch's starting pitcher Ryan Gargett stuck
out the first three batters in a scoreless inning.

In the second inning Braden River tied the game 1-1.
Austin Parcels put Lakewood Ranch ahead 2-1 with a solo
home run in the top of the third inning. Lakewood Ranch went
ahead 3-1 in the third and Braden River came back to make
it 3-2 in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Lakewood Ranch went ahead 4-2 in the 5th and Braden
River came back to tie it 4-4 on a two run home run by
Jonathan Negron.

Braden River won the game 5-4 in the bottom of the 6th with
a home run by Roy Tetrick.

Everyone agreed it was a solid, well played, game.

Head Coach Toby Davis of the Lakewood Ranch team said his team
got off to a "bang" in first game of the tourney with four early runs. The game
went to 9-4 deficit? and ended with a 14-9 Mustangs win. Ryan Gargett started the game
and Tobias Davis closed for the Mustangs. Finn Camphire and Ryan Dauphinee
provided solid hitting with Ryan hitting two home runs. Dylan Turner provided solid pinch running
including a steal of home.

Coach Davis appreciates the support of his fellow coaches Jeff Waldschmidt
and David Wilson and the entire player roster consisting of: Tobias Davis #1, Ryan Gargett #2,
Austin Parcels #4, Jackson Easto #7, Dylan Turner #8, Dylan McGarry #10, Anthony Cummings #11,
Ryan Dauphinee #12, Zach Miller #20, Jakin Wilson #22, Logan Waldschmidt #24,
Joshua Pollard #28 and Finn Camphire #42.
