Bradenton Apartment Fire Causes $100,000 In Damage
A fire destroyed an apartment at Burgundy Condominiums on Tuesday evening, displacing two families.
BRADENTON, FL — A Tuesday evening fire destroyed a first-floor apartment at Burgundy Apartments at 4512 3rd St. Cir. West, Battalion Chief Douglas Brett with Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue said in a news release.
Cedar Hammock units responded to the multifamily apartment building just after 7 p.m. and found heavy fire and smoke coming from the apartment. They extinguished the blaze within 10 minutes, Brett said.
Nobody was injured in the fire, which caused about $100,000 in damage to the apartment, he said. Though the fire was contained to just one unit, nearby apartments sustained smoke damage.

Two families were displaced Tuesday evening, but didn’t request assistance from Red Cross, Brett said.
