Bradenton Christian School Ready For Eclipse

BRADENTON, FL - From Bradenton Christian School: Bradenton Christian School takes learning seriously and will not miss the historic opportunity for its student’s to view the solar eclipse. 1,000 certified safety viewing eyeglasses have been purchased so the entire student body along with staff can safely view the solar eclipse on Monday, August 21 st . Students will be escorted to the football field with their 8th period teacher to assemble on the football field to safely view the solar eclipse at roughly 2:30pm. Permission slips were emailed to all families giving parents the opportunity to keep their child indoors or at home during this time. The event will also be live streamed so students opting to stay indoors can view the event in the auditorium.

High School Science Teacher, Regina Hays states “What an amazing opportunity that we are getting to be able to witness a once in a lifetime event in which God’s power and beauty is being displayed. Superintendent, Dan Vande Pol felt this was “an incredible educational opportunity to witness the heavens declaring the Glory of God. We want to use this teachable moment to catch a glimpse into how our Creator is running our little part of the universe. It is a great way to take an event that seems abstract and make it concrete and understandable for even our youngest students.”
