Bradenton Driver Hits, Kills Pedestrian In Lee County Crash: FHP
A Georgia man was hit and killed by a Bradenton driver while crossing US 41 in Lee County Monday night, Florida Highway Patrol said.
LEE COUNTY, FL — A 43-year-old man from Tifton, Georgia was hit and killed by an SUV driven by Bradenton woman in Lee County Monday night, Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
The SUV was traveling south in the center lane of the highway south of Jamaica Bay Boulevard around 8:30 p.m. Monday when the man was attempting to cross the southbound lanes of US 41.
The front of the SUV hit the pedestrian, who was brought to a local hospital and later pronounced dead, FHP said.

The 52-year-old driver and her passenger, a 57-year-old man who is also from Bradenton, were uninjured in the crash.
