Bradenton Man Critical After Pedestrian Crash
The accident happened early Friday morning.

A 52-year-old Bradenton man is critical following a Friday morning accident.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, James Ellis Stevens was walking eastbound in the grass median of U.S. 301, just north of the intersection with 53rd Avenue around 12:10 a.m. when he walked into the path of a Buick Rendezvous driven by Tinika Wiggings-Collymore, 39, of Bradenton.
The Buick’s front left struck Stevens, a highway patrol media release stated.

Stevens was taken to Blake Medical Center in critical condition.
Troopers say Stevens was wearing dark-colored clothing at the time of the crash.
