No Charges Yet in Bradenton Man's Shooting Death
A Sarasota man was questioned by deputies who now say they are investigating whether the shooting was a case of self-defense.

A 27-year-old Bradenton man is dead following an early morning shooting at the Atlantis Gentlemen’s Club in Palmetto.
According to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, Dominic Orr and another man got into an argument at the 3800 U.S. 41 N. club just before 3 a.m. Monday. Orr and the other man each pulled out guns and began firing at each other in the club’s parking lot, a media release from the agency stated. While Orr was seen falling to the ground in surveillance video, the other man ran from the scene, deputies noted.
When deputies arrived, they found Orr suffering from several gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the agency noted.

Deputies have since identified the man Orr was arguing with. They say he is Durrell Jones, 31, of Sarasota. Jones was questioned in the case, but has not yet been charged. The sheriff’s office announced late Monday afternoon that it is investigating whether self-defense played a role in the fatal shooting.
Deputies say two of the club’s security guards also fired weapons in the altercation. It remains unclear what the initial argument was about.
