Bradenton Man Killed When Bicycle Struck From Behind

A 34-year-old Bradenton man was killed after his bicycle was struck from behind by a vehicle early Thursday, June 28.

BRADENTON, FL -- A 34-year-old Bradenton man was killed after his bicycle was struck from behind by a vehicle early Thursday, June 28, on Lorraine Road, north of State Road 70.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Nicholas Wilson was riding his bike south on Lorraine Road near 59th Avenue East around 3:15 a.m. when the right front of a black Toyota Rav4 collided with him from behind.

Wilson was thrown from his bike and died of his injuries.

The 23-year-old Jacksonville man driving the Rav4, Dillon Sypula, was not injured

The highway patrol said charged are pending against Sypula.
