BRENDA ALCORN, Mixed-Media Artist, Named August Featured Artist at Island Gallery West

This August, Island Gallery West will feature the photography and Gyotaku (fish printing) art of Brenda Alcorn in an exhibit entitled "The Tranquility of Nature."


 


Ms. Alcorn has enjoyed a long and successful career teaching, for 30 years teaching English at Manatee High School, and now conducting art classes at the Anna Maria Island Art League. For the last four years as a member of Island Gallery West, Ms. Alcorn has treated many visitors to free demonstrations at the gallery’s weekly Saturday morning art demos sessions in season.
