Bulldogs come out on top for the day.

Bulldogs have solid day

On Saturday, September 24th, The Bulldogs traveled to Dade City to face the Wildcats and the PeeWee team traveled to New Tampa to face the Tigers.

Tiny Mite: Solid play.
Mitey Mite - 13-13, Tie
Jr. PeeWee - 26-13, DC Wildcats
PeeWee - 42-0, Bulldogs
Jr. Varsity - 42-0, Bulldogs
Tiny Mites: The Tiny Mites ran only 5 plays but for 5 touchdowns. They were led by DJ Wortham and Coby Thomas with 2 touchdown a piece. Rex Schwartz had a 80 yard touchdown. The defense was led by Coby Thomas while Conner Post also had some big hits.

Mitey Mites: The Mitey Mites traveled to Dade City Saturday to take on the Wildcats. The offense struggled in the first half. Down 13-6 with under 4 minutes to go, QB Lucas Despot led the team down the field with the help of RB Trey Schwartz to tie the score with less than a minute to go. WR Izzy McNair scored the tying extra point on a brilliant reverse after the touchdown.

The defense kept the Bulldogs in the game all day. Even though they did give up two long runs, they held strong against a fast offense, recording an interception and two fumble recoveries. Linebacker Sean Crowley and safety Schwartz were key to the defense, as well as linemen Trent Mullet and LB Phoenix Balot.
The final score was a 13-13 tie, a huge moral victory for the Bulldogs, who spent most of the day playing from behind.

Jr. PeeWee: Elliott Mathis scored on a 10 yard run and Estin Martin scored on a 20 yard run. The Bulldogs came up short, but everyone played great.

PeeWee Bulldogs: The Bulldogs got back on track with a convincing win. Coach Chris Everhart and the East Manatee Bulldogs came in focused from the very opening series. The Bulldogs forced the Tigers to punt on 4th down. Kevin Everhart wasted no time as he took the punt back for a touchdown up the left sideline. The Bulldogs picked up the intensity on defense this week limiting the Tigers to 0 first downs in the 1st half. On offense the Bulldogs executed on every account with Bryson Robertson getting himself back to form with a 68-yard scamper for a touchdown. Tyler “T-Bone” Coppens had a touchdown this week executing well at receiver. Dion Black also hit pay dirt with 2 touchdowns; one running and he also returned the 2nd half kick-off for a touchdown. Noah Cummings also scored a late touchdown that put a stamp on the Bulldog Scoring for the day! This was a total team effort and win. The coaches had great reviews for all the players. A couple of standouts who scored on 2-point conversions and played well were Tavon Derisma, Kevin Everhart, Kellen Gooch, and Bryson Robertson. The Bulldogs showed that when they can execute and play as a team they can beat anyone in the league. Every player from offense to defense played well and this was a great momentum builder going into next week as the Bulldogs travel on the road again to face the Wesley Chapel Cowboys!

Jr. Varsity: Four different plays scored and Dawson Thompson connected on all of his extra points.
