Celebrity Musicians in Bradenton This Weekend

A country music star, a former NFL great and the bassist from the rock band Cinderella - all here to entertain this weekend.

A couple of well-known musicians are coming to town this weekend. A third already lives in the area and is performing at a benefit Saturday.

Former NFL great Henry Lawrence, who lives in Bradenton, is among the live music lineup at the Bradenton Municipal Auditorium Saturday night to help raise money for Manatee Children's Services.

Also this weekend, country star Jerrod Niemann's latest tour is taking him through Bradenton on Saturday night and the bassist from the rock band Cinderella is playing at the Lost Kangaroo on Thursday.

  • The Lost Kangaroo, 406 Old Main St., has live music at 9 p.m. Thursday from Eric Brittingham, who is most well-known as the bassist from the glam rock band Cinderella. He’s currently on tour with Brandon Gibbs, founding member of the former Gibbs Brothers Band, and they’re making a late stop at the Roo! Local musician Paul Fournier opens the show at 9 p.m. No cover.
  • The Manatee Children's Services 14th Annual Country Night Dinner & Dance is 6 p.m. Saturday at the Bradenton Municipal Auditorium, 1005 Barcarrota Blvd. Enjoy an evening of country entertainment with dinner from Lee Roy Selmons, a full liquor bar, a live and silent auction, raffles, bull riding, line dancing, a costume contest for the best dressed cowboy and cowgirl and more, live music from Henry Lawrence, Greg Holt and Billy Rice.   • The Jagermeister Tour featuring Jerrod Niemann and special guest Maggie Rose makes a stop at Joyland, 5520 14th St. W., this Saturday. This was a sold out show last time Jerrod was here. This is his third stop on a three-month tour in support of his new album, Free the Music. Doors open at 7 p.m.; music starts at 9 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Get tickets at Joyland or click here to order online. Fans must be at least 18 to get inside but you must be 21 to drink.
  • Cork’s Cigar Bar, 424 Old Main St., has specials on food and drink every Sunday. Buckets of domestic beer are $10, Bud and Miller light drafts are $2 and wells are $3. Tacos…hotdogs…hamburgers – check with your bartender about the Sunday food special. New on tap at Cork’s are Killians Irish Red, Angry Orchard Cider, Samuel Adams Octoberfest and Paulaner Hefe-Weissbier.
  • “Touch Back Tuesday” at Fan-Atics Sports Bar & Grill, 4669 Cortez Rd. Happy Hour from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. includes $1.25 domestic drafts, $3 wells & $6.25 domestic pitchers. Domestic drafts are two-for-one from 7 p.m. to midnight. Select shots are $4: Pineapple up-side-down and grape or cherry UV Bombs! Tacos are a buck each while they last.
