Cellphones, Booze, Cash Taken in Armed Robbery

The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery at Bradenton’s Oasis Bar.

The incident occurred around 1:35 a.m. Thursday when four men with their faces covered entered the 6006 Manatee Ave. W. bar. The men, an email from the sheriff’s office said, were armed with handguns and took cash from the register and from several patrons. They also helped themselves to alcohol and cellphones before leaving the business.

Eight people were inside the bar during the robbery. No injuries were reported.

Since the men had their faces covered, descriptions of the suspects are not readily available. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 941-747-3011 or Crime Stoppers at 866-634-TIPS.
