Celtic Entertainment, Bagpipes, and Music come to Sarasota

The New World Celts of Sarasota are pleased to bring the inaugural CELTOBERFEST to Sarasota. If you are looking for an event for the whole family, this will be the day for you! Everyone is welcome to come and experience a day of constant entertainment and discovery of your roots. We will have a Celtic Marketplace for merchandise and food vendors. We will feature Highland Brewing Company collection of beer and ales.

“We are very pleased with the variety of music and entertainment we will have at our CeltoberFest,” said Deborah Dennis, Vice President of New World Celts of Sarasota. “With the help of our sponsors in the community and the many local Chapters of New World Celts, we have been able to put together the first CELTOBERFEST in Sarasota and provide exciting fun filled activities for the entire day.”

We will start the festival off with Sarasota’s very own Blue Skye Pipe and Drum Band – one of the nation’s few all women pipe bands. We will have an afternoon filled with traditional Scottish and Irish music groups Tarbolton, Celtic Conundrum, McIntyre, Ballads & Bodhrans with other stage performers Step Dancers, and Celtic Comedy. At dusk we transition into more spirited Celtic Rock Bands featuring the best line up ever assembled in the Sarasota area. Share the evening stage with Bawdy Boys, Off Kilter, Fighting Jamesons, and Seven Nations.

The event will be held at Sarasota Fairgrounds, 29 October from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. Tickets can be purchased at http://celtoberfest.org $20 for adults and $15 for children. Discounted Tickets can also be purchased for a limited time. If you are new to the Celtic music scene or a lifelong fan, CELTOBERFEST will offer something for everyone!
