Coastal Orthopedics Opens Two New Facilities In Manatee County

MANATEE COUNTY, FL — Coastal Orthopedics, a full-service provider of comprehensive orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, spine care, pain management and physical therapy services, recently celebrated the opening of its two new facilities in Manatee County.

An 88,000-square-foot facility at 8000 State Road 64 in East Manatee County opened May 23 and serves as the company’s new headquarters, according to a news release from the company. It replaces Coastal’s previous space at 5101 4th Ave. Circle E.

This location will house clinical services, physical therapy department, administrative offices and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), among other services.

The ambulatory surgery center at the previous location will be moving to the new headquarters in the coming weeks, as well, and patients will now have the option to recover in private recovery rooms that are integrated with advanced technology, the company said.

Coastal’s new 34,000-square-foot West Bradenton facility on 17th Ave. W., just north of Blake Medical Center in Bradenton, opened its doors May 16. This new location is taking the place of the previous West Bradenton space at 6015 Pointe West Blvd. and will house physician office space, fluoroscopy suites, a physical therapy gymnasium and a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) suite, plus room for future expansion, the company said.

“We are so proud of what we have created here,” said Paige LeMay, chief executive officer of Coastal Orthopedics. “Both facilities will allow our providers to serve orthopedic and pain management patients who live in the rapidly growing Manatee and Sarasota counties.”

Dr. Arthur Valadie added, “Now we can use these buildings as a tool for what we do every day, which is take great care of our patients in a comfortable setting using the latest technology. We are thrilled to have these buildings for our staff to do what we do best.”

Founded in 1973, the Bradenton-based Coastal Orthopedics is home to 20 orthopedic surgeons and pain management physicians who maintain hospital affiliations with Blake Medical Center, Doctors Hospital of Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch Medical Center and Manatee Memorial Hospital.
