Cold Weather Shelter Opening Christmas Weekend In Manatee County
With temperatures dropping in the days before Christmas, Manatee County will open a cold weather shelter for those in need of a safe space.
MANATEE COUNTY, FL — With temperatures expected to drop over the Christmas weekend, Manatee County is opening a cold weather shelter on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
The Salvation Army, 1204 14th Street W., Bradenton, will open its doors at 6 p.m.
The space typically shelters 60 people overnight during regular and high temperatures, the county said in a news release. During this weekend’s cold weather, they can take in an additional 50 people.
