Community Development Block Grants Available In Manatee County

Manatee County will distribute about $1.9 million to nonprofit organizations for projects benefiting low- and moderate-income residents.

MANATEE COUNTY, FL β€” Looking to fund a community project? Manatee County will start accepting applications from local nonprofit organizations for projects benefiting low- and moderate-income county residents on March 4. The one-month application window to request funds runs through April 4.

Manatee County’s Department of Housing and Urban Development will distribute about $1.9 million in Community Development Block Grant funds for fiscal year 2022-23, according to the county website.

CDBG funds may be used for activities that benefit low- and moderate-income people through projects that revitalize neighborhoods, economic development, and providing improved community facilities and services.

A grant application workshop will be held via Zoom on March 1 to provide more details on the funding and application process, and answer questions from applicants. Those interested must register for the workshop by Feb. 24. Register online here.
