Cops: Man Pulled Gun After Asking for Gas Money
Bradenton Police are trying to identify the suspect.

The Bradenton Police Department is looking for some help identifying a man it says was involved in a “suspicious incident” outside a Walmart Wednesday morning.
According to the agency, police were called to the 5315 Cortez Road Walmart around 12:19 a.m. after two men had a gun pulled on them. Police say the suspect approached the two victims and asked for gas money. As the three walked toward the suspect’s vehicle, the man pulled out a silver handgun, an email from the agency to media said.
The two victims ran back toward the store without further incident.

Police say the suspect in the case didn’t threaten the two victims. He also didn’t demand money. Even so, police would like to speak with him.
Anyone with information about the man, who was last seen wearing a blue-collared shirt with the words “Post It” over the chest area, is asked to call Det. Dennis French at 941-932-9300. The man was also wearing blue jean shorts, a blue-and-orange hat and blue tennis shoes.
