Cortez Commercial Fishing Festival Draws Big Crowd

Smells of seafood filled a sunny day during the opening of historic festival in a new location. The festivities continue today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The first day of the Cortez Commercial Fishing Festival, highlighted by live music and a ton of Florida seafood, was just in time for a weekend of spectacular weather.

Last year, the event was held by the A.P. Bell Fish Co.

The festival, which continues today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. is now being held outside the Cortez Kitchen, at the end of 119th St. West, south of Cortez Road.
