Manatee County Moving COVID-19 Testing Site From Bradenton Convention Center In New Year
The COVID-19 testing site currently operates at the Bradenton Area Convention Center in Palmetto but will reopen in a new location Jan. 3.
BRADENTON, FL — The COVID-19 testing site at the Bradenton Area Convention Center will be moving in the new year, Manatee County shared on Facebook Monday morning.
The site, currently located at 1 Haben Blvd. in Palmetto, will operate on a special holiday schedule. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve and normal hours – 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. – on New Year’s Eve.
It will be closed Christmas Day, as well as Jan. 1-2. The site will open for its normal hours on other days.

The testing site will reopen Jan. 3 at a new location in the parking lot at the northwest corner of 8th Avenue and 14th Street West in Bradenton, the county said.
Earlier this month, the Florida Department of Health in Manatee County opened a new satellite site, the Manatee South Center at 7780 Westmoreland Drive in Sarasota, to offer the COVID-19 vaccine and booster shots. That location is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The agency plans to eventually offer other services at the site.
