Driver Dies After Losing Control Of SUV On Manatee County Road: FHP

A Myakka City woman died after losing control of her SUV on Clay Gully Road Friday afternoon, Florida Highway Patrol said.

MANATEE COUNTY, FL — A Myakka City woman died Friday afternoon after losing control of her SUV on Clay Gully Road, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.

The 54-year-old woman was heading west on Clay Gully Road, near County Line Road, when she wasn’t able to negotiate a curve in the road around 5:40 p.m.

Her SUV traveled off the road and overturned, FHP said.
