After Hitting 11 Vehicles At Manatee Memorial Hospital, Driver Charged With DUI: Police

BRADENTON, FL — A Sarasota man faces charges after crashing into 11 vehicles in the parking lot of Manatee Memorial Hospital Monday afternoon, Bradenton police said.

Timothy P. McElroy, 56, has been charged with 11 counts of DUI with property damage and careless driving.

Bradenton police responded to the hospital around 1:30 p.m. after reports of a vehicle crash in the parking lot. They found that McElroy had hit 11 parked vehicles, which were unoccupied.

When officers saw that McElroy showed signs of being under the influence, the investigation was turned over to the department’s traffic unit.
