DUI Wolfpack Detail Planned For Manatee County: FHP

​The Florida Highway Patrol will operate its DUI wolfpack detail from 9 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday.

MANATEE COUNTY, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol will hold a DUI wolfpack detail in Manatee County from 9 p.m. on Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday morning, the FHP said in a news release. The detail will focus on major state and county roadways.

The FHP organizes these details to proactively remove impaired drivers from the roadways and ultimately enhance the safety of the motoring public, the agency said. Troopers will be mobile while monitoring traffic.

Florida law considers a driver with a Blood Alcohol Content of .08 or higher to be impaired. Drivers under the age of 21 with a BAC of .02 or higher are also in violation of state law, the agency said.

FHP would like to remind the public that they can dial *FHP (*347) from any cell phone to contact the FHP to report an aggressive driver or request roadside assistance.
