Eric Robinson announces bid for Sarasota County School Board seat
Eric Robinson, founder and CFO at Robinson, Hanks, Young and Roberts CPA firm, is running for District 3 Sarasota County School Board seat.
Eric Robinson, shareholder, founder and chief financial officer at Venice-based Robinson, Hanks, Young and Roberts CPA firm (www.RobinsonHanks.com) and member of the Sarasota County School Board financial advisory committee, is announcing his intention to run for the District 3 Sarasota County School Board seat.
A Sarasota resident since 2001, Robinson specializes in tax planning and services for individuals and small business clients. He grew his accounting business into a multimillion-dollar corporation and was recognized by INC Magazine as one of the fastest growing companies.
Robinson was previously appointed to prestigious positions by Jeb Bush, such as the statewide Workforce Florida as the finance chairman and served four years, and the chairman of the Sarasota Bradenton Airport Authority. He has also served as treasurer for several high-profile political campaigns for conservative candidates in Florida.

“Education is the key to a good community, and it is a tremendous economic driver for our region,” said Robinson. “As a member of the financial advisory committee for the Sarasota County School Board, I am acutely aware of the budget challenges we face. With my lengthy background in finance and accounting, I know I can continue to serve the community in a greater capacity as a member of the board,” he said.
