of the Twin Dolphin Marina in Bradenton, recently announced a partnership with Anna Maria Island microbrewer Howard Bard to host a beer tasting event on board. The event features a variety of specialty beers brewed exclusively by Mr. Bard and food pairings catered by Mattison’s Riverside.
On April 2, Mr. Bard, a resident of the city of Anna Maria and brewing enthusiast, will educate guests about the distinctive qualities of each beer and the brewing process involved to create specific types of beer, as well as offer suggestions on pairing each brew with delicious dinner and dessert items provided by the renowned Mattison’s Riverside culinary team. For example, beers such as an espresso infused oatmeal stout will be paired with Mattison’s famous chocolate lava cake for a distinctive dessert combination. The historic and picturesque Manatee River will serve as a unique background for this event, as guests enjoy a spectacular Gulf sunset while under sail.
The captain and crew of Kathleen D Sailing Catamaran look forward to spicing up the traditional sailing experience for visitors and residents of the Sun Coast with special events like Mr. Bard’s beer sampling, while continuing to provide the ultimate in safety, comfort and style aboard their United States Coast Guard inspected vessel. The microbrewery beer tasting costs $55 per person and will depart from the Twin Dolphin Marina in Bradenton at 6:00 pm on Saturday, April 2 for a two hour Sunset Sail.
