SCF's Grieneisen Publishes Poetry Book "Good Sumacs"

Jeff Grieneisen, assistant professor, State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF), will read poetry from his new book, “Good Sumacs,” at 5 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 29, in the library at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West, building 8, room 229. A reception will follow the poetry reading.

Published by Mammoth Books in Summer 2011, “Good Sumacs” includes four sections of poetry.

“I consider myself in ‘Good Sumacs’ to be a regional poet with roots deep in the landscape of my native Pennsylvania. The book further traces my transition to Florida, and also features sections that detail character sketches and conversations about mortality,” Grieneisen said.
