
A Bradenton women did what was expected when she saw flashing lights in her rearview mirror Sunday night. She pulled over.
The cop in question, however, didn’t do or act as expected and now law enforcement is on the hunt for an impersonator.
Police say the man was driving a tan or gold Ford Crown Victoria and flashed green and red lights at the car. The victim suspected something was up when the “officer” wasn’t wearing a proper uniform and didn’t ask for paperwork, but instead told her to get out of her car and into his, ABC reported.

When she refused, the phony cop went back to his car and took off, WFLA reported. The woman called 911.
Anyone with information about the identity of the impersonator is asked to call the Bradenton Police Department at 941-932-9300.

Law enforcement impersonators have made headlines in recent months. Back in June, an Ohio man was arrested in Florida for attempting to pull over a real cop.
